![]() In the comics, he initially became Green Lantern only after Hal Jordan's apparent death. Though Kyle Rayner would make a great Green Lantern in the DCU films, fans may have to wait a while to see him. Not only could these changes to his character be explored over the course of a multi-film arc, but it would also be a good way to differentiate his character if Lanterns runs its course and Stewart and Jordan crossover into the films. He has also mastered each color on the emotional spectrum and become the White Lantern. Apart from being a Green Lantern, Kyle has also bonded with Ion, the entity that represents willpower and gives Green Lanterns their powers. Rayner's many different roles would also make him a good choice for the DCU's film Lantern. Because movies typically have a bigger budget than TV shows, Rayner's creative constructs could be more easily brought to life on the big screen, while Jordan and Stewart's more basic constructs fit perfectly on HBO Max. As an artist, Rayner has also been known to create much more visually interesting hard-light constructs than his fellow Green Lanterns. Kyle's softer personality would set him apart from the other Green Lanterns in the DCU, and being a newer recruit to the Corps could make him the perfect vessel for showing audiences how it works. These unique circumstances make Rayner a perfect choice for Gunn and Safran if they want to keep Lanterns running while also having films starring a Green Lantern. Rayner, on the other hand, was an artist, making his induction into the Green Lantern Corps a big change for him. ![]() Jordan and Stewart were former military men, and while Gardner never served, he was a former police officer for some of DC's comic book history.
